Mental Snapp Ltd (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Mental Snapp mobile application (the “App”).
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data when you use our App.

How Do We Collect Your Information?
We ask you to provide certain personal data when you download our App and if you subscribe to additional services. This will include your name, contact information including e-mail and telephone number and ‘demographic information’ such as your postcode, preferences and interests.
When you access the App by or through a mobile device, we may also collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use and other statistics.
How Do We Use Your Personal Data?
We use your personal data to provide and improve the App. This includes administration, responding to communications from you and analysing your use of the App and gathering feedback to enable us to continually improve the App and your user experience.
With your permission and/or where permitted by law, we may also use your personal data for marketing purposes which may include contacting you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send. We will not sell your personal data to third parties.

Do any third parties have access to your personal data?
We may use the services of other companies in relation to our App but they will have access to your personal data only to perform tasks on our behalf and will not have access to your videos. They will be under a contractual obligation to keep your personal data secret. We are committed to keeping consumer costs low. One way that we can do this is by reserving the right in the future to use anonymised data from the videos for research purposes. Our aim in doing this is to contribute to the body of knowledge and make a difference in mental health. We assure you that we will maintain our commitment to you by ensuring that any research will be automated and be on anonymous data. At no point will any human being watch your videos.
We will disclose your personal data where required to do so by law or in accordance with an order of a court of competent jurisdiction, or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our App.
Any dispute between us in relation to your data will be governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
How Do I Access My Information/Data?
The General Data Protection Regulation which applies from May 2018 gives you a number of rights in relation to personal data, as follows:
- the right to request a copy of your personal data that we store, free of charge.
- the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by not checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. You can also exercise the right at any time by using the ‘Unsubscribe’ facility on our website.
- the right to request us to amend your personal data so that it is correct and complete or to delete your personal data.
- the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.ico.org.uk if you think that we are not complying with our legal obligations in relation to your personal data in any way.
- the right to transfer of your personal data to another person in electronic format.
Will the App Contain Links to Third Party Websites?
We do not disclose personal data to our advertisers, but our App may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. We use these third party links to support and enhance your experience of the App.
Do We Collect Personal Information From Children?
Our App is not made available to anyone under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
This Policy shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
